A Special Way to Celebrate Mother’s Day

Now that Mother’s Day is over, I am happy to say that many of my friends and customers celebrated their mom with the gift of flowers.  No matter what,every mom likes to be remembered and flowers are a terrific choice.  

I love my children and they always make me feel special but now that I am in the flower business, we don't celebrate Mother’s Day the same way. I work so hard during the weeks leading up to the holiday that I am usually tired.

People always ask me what my kids get me for Mother’s Day since flowers are clearly not an option. I tell them I get services.  By that, I do not mean the traditional mani-pedi, massage or dinner – I mean that I get my kids to help at the flower shop and do whatever I need them to do. So, they wash buckets, wrap packages or deliver flowers. The services that my kids provide is the epitome of a family owned business – the whole family comes to the rescue at a time of need and that is what makes my Mother’s Day special.
