Wednesday Wedding: Simple Works

A few of the weddings for which we have provided flowers have not been elaborate but simple. I liked the choices that the brides made and the flowers worked well for them. Sometimes the flowers are a matter of their bride’s budget and sometimes it is strictly what they want. In these cases, the flowers represented the brides really well.

Kate came from New Orleans and we were able to plan the wedding in one visit. Her vision was clear and she wanted flowers that were
uncomplicated. She chose candle holders and a container that was not traditional. Instead of candles we placed roses in them. There were several different styles - all simple.

Stephanie on the other hand wanted all white flowers. After many months of indecisiveness she finally went back to her original choice of white callas. She only varied from the theme with the boutonnieres for the men which were very organic and from the garden.

The table centerpieces were just callas and her bouquet was the same. I liked the simplicity and so did she. In the end, Stephanie was really happy. Any flowers that were more complicated would not have been right for her.
The one thing that I have learned about wedding flowers  is that there are no right choices. Flowers are wonderful as long as the bride if happy with the selection she makes.  Quite simply, flowers are beautiful and they make people happy.
